Nearby Attractions & Walking Routes
The Three Kings Monument sits in the heart of Chiang Mai's old city, so the best temples and streets are a short walk away. Here are the highlights and how to link them into a route.
Wat Phra Singh (about 10 min)
One of Chiang Mai's most revered temples, Wat Phra Singh is roughly a 10-minute walk west along Ratchadamnoen Road. It houses the revered Phra Singh Buddha image and classic Lanna architecture.
Wat Chedi Luang (about 8 min)
A short walk south brings you to the ruined Lanna pagoda of Wat Chedi Luang, once among the tallest structures in old Chiang Mai. The city pillar shrine sits nearby.
Chiang Mai City Arts & Cultural Centre
Directly in front of the monument, this restored hall hosts rotating exhibitions on Lanna culture and history. The square between the two is the monument's plaza.
Tha Phae Gate & the Sunday Walking Street
About 0.9 km east, Tha Phae Gate is the old city's best-known entrance. From there, Ratchadamnoen Road runs back past the monument toward Wat Phra Singh and becomes the Sunday Walking Street market from about 16:00.
